A new addition
Having had 4 kids and worked as a doula for many years, it is probably no surprise that I love babies.
There's something about welcoming a new human into this world and witnessing the miracle of life happening right before our eyes. It warms my heart and soul to watch new family dynamics, relationships forming and evolving and love materializing.
I had the privilege of watching Benjamin being born and his mother, Michelle, showing her strength. Benjamin is her 3rd baby, so it was not her first time doing this. I was her doula and photographer and was able to create memores of such an important moment for her family -- something that she wished she had done with her previous kids.
Newborn sessions are slow paced, respecting the family's new rhythm. I love to capture siblings interacting, new parents learning, and everyone adapting to a new way of living.
I had the chance to chat with Michele about her birth, breastfeeding, and share some of my own experiences with 3 kids, as I was 6 months pregnant with my 4th. These are sweet memories I will forever cherish.
